OOOPS!

One Fateful day, as Count Forgan Icewing "read" from the ancient Dragon Tome written by the God of Creation, two angels of Haltessa were born. Gray Tarrenson was later bestowed the Heart of the World - the obect for which he had been questing, but its holiness and importance to Venna made himself and his companions a target. Jennifer was kidnapped, raped and murdered by Brenin. The knowledge of this and the images and emotions behind it all brought the adventuring party into a fit of rage, craving revenge. Gray was going to finish his quest and finish his fight with Brenin once and for all.
Gray, Forgan, Elonora and Khyros used all their resources and abilities to gather up the best force they could to finish Gray's quest and place the heart of the world in its new home. Priests, paladins, magic users and fanatic halberders gathered together for this momentous event. The ceremony needed to take about an hour to complete and we knew that To'Horne would want nothing more than to stop it from completing. He would hold nothing back. Knowing they could die, the party members said their good-byes and secured their belongings, hoping to return soon.
With the help of the archmage Roger, the main forces were teleported to the South Pole - soon to be the new home of Venna's Heart. It was 60 below when we arrived with windchills up to about -80! Brrrr! The first waves of attack struck about 10 minutes into the ceremony. Vine tentacle man showed up again (he was there for the revival of Haltessa too!) only now he was WAY more kick-ass and had all sorts of scale 2 ice chunks revolving around him like satellites. Grrrreeaaaat. Then, from the other side came a three headed dragon the size of the Statue of Liberty with laser beams coming out each of its 6 eyes(oh how I wish I were kidding). Grolg managed to take out one of its heads for a round or so and it was soon hit by Wolfgang (yes, of the Warren crew) who shot a cannon ball through it! It nearly re-generated itself, but Grolg made smasheddy with it again and it died. On another corner of the battlefield a flock of evil spellcrafting featherless vultures (again, I'm not kidding) arrived preceeded by 2 evil weapons mater-paladins riding wyvrens. They wyvrens were taken out first as their riders tumbled to the ground without a scratch. The vultures did most of the damage to our troops by blinding, deafening and slowing Gray, Vorren and Kevin Vance (grandson to the Archmage in Gray's settlement). After enough hacking and slashing they too went the way of the do-do and their spells eventually wore off. The paladins are another story. Forgan managed to lop off the leg of one of them and set him on holy fire - unfortunately burning away all his nifty magic stuff. The other one slipped himself INTO the glacier we were standing on and continued to move around down there for the rest of the battle, emerging every now and then to try to poke Vorren with his dragon lance. The paladin of Vorrex had already died to the hand of this evil weapons master, but his squire remained alive. On his way back to "home base" he slipped and fell through the ice into freezing water. Amazingly, he climbed back to the surface and Forgan picked him up and got him healed! YAAY!
By this time, Trilia had arrived with even more reinforcements. Also by now, a storm (a To'Horne storm) had us almost completely engulfed. The vine tentacle man drew closer and seemed nearly invincible - he regenerates every would inflicted upon him almost instantly! Elonora wasn't sure what else to do, so she called out to Venna to protect Grolg (who tried to face him off) and she called out to Haltessa to purigy the thing. Afterall, it was the embodiment of the corruption of the land. This pissed off Verril (the raven) and he left her. No more Raven powers, but at least she can be a good deity vessel! Haltessa was there inside her (again) and through Elonora's chest came a beam of white light that struck the vine monster and he burned and sizzled and packed his bags and left town before any more damage could be done to him. Meanwhile, over by the dead flock of vulture monsters, Gray, Vorren and the fanatic halberders were faced with an emerald eagle. It flew over to Gray and shreded his helmet to itty bitty bits! DAMMIT! Then it flew away with no other intent. Then these gnomes appeared on the horizon, but didn't really seem to do anything...until they teleported into our forces trying to take out our magic items. This was the begginnig of the wave of sneak attacks as they built up their forces in a newly erected ice fort (aw, isn't that cute - the bad guys built an ice fort!...unfortunately, the snowballs are explosive!). One of the attackers was Snake Bitch. She went after Khyros and they had the fastest battle of the day. *whoosh whoosh whoosh* After a few bombs and some fancy shmancy moves, Khyros killed her! YAAY! Ding dong the bitch is dead... But then a voice came from behind him screaming "NO!" It was that bookworm guy from Malfestus! He was tearing pages from his books using them as scrolls and this time he was making some poisonous gas cloud! AARGH! Good thing Khyros can escape! *WHEW*
All the while, Elonora, Trilia and Forgan were keeping their eyes on the fort. Then this huge jet of steam came out of the glacier followed by a huge demonic drak! AARGH! It killed Grolg and left. Next came the frost wyrm from under the ice. It was big and fierce and cold. Everyone managed to get out of the way except Kevin Vance. Poor Kevin. The next arrival had to have been the strangest of them all. Bvorchek'Norr of all dwarves! She was wandering around muttering stuff about "They can't die"... it was all very odd. She didn't pose a threat though. Forgan was really nervous about what was going on behind the walls of that fort. Khyros send a wall of flame just behind the fort walls, but it was dispelled right away. Khyros then did a fly-by with some bombs. They didn't seem to do anything. Forgan went over to see what was really going on there and was faced with his final battle. He was at first nearly sucked into a small black hole with hands in it and then faced off with a member of the silver cross. EEP! It is my sad news to say that Forgan is no more. The Ceremonial grounds are attacked by exploding cannon balls! AAARGH! Elonora can hear Brenin saying to re-load and informs her allies. Gray, Vorren, Sashraddon, Esol and Khyros head in to do as much damage as they can but are met with a wind wall. They still manage to crawl through it and get to the wall of the fort. Sashraddon, Esol and Gray fly up to the top while Khyros and Vorren try to smash through it. At the top is bookworm guy ready with more books as scrolls, 3 men oerating one cannon and Brenin right in the middle of it all looking smug as usual. Not being able to do anything to Brenin due to a forcefield he had over him, Gray attacked the bookworm mage. At the same time, Khyros managed to fly to the top and throw a few small bombs towards the cannon...setting off the 9 explosive cannonballs and blowing the place to smithereens! Esol was killed and Sashraddon knocked out of the sky. Gray tumbled with everyone else and Vorren was alright. Sashraddon then told Gray that she saw Brenin dissapear before the wall blew up. Crap. Sashraddon teleported herself into it to see how she could help.
Meanwhile back at camp, Trilia was getting hit with more lightning bolts than should be humanly possible, but she stood her ground and continued to fight with all she had. The ceremony was still trudging along and more than half over by now. Allofasudden, Brenin appears right smack dab in the middle of it! Not only that, but he has the psychic relic Sky on his back with his hand on it ready to use it at any given moment! In his other hand was his sword and he was willing to take himself out in order to take everyone else out. It almost worked too. At first, Luther and Theo (The Lammassu) tried to distract him and fight him. He then used the relic and f***ed himself up pretty bad. But he was determined and tried it again. This time it sent the whole area of the ceremony INTO the dreamworld! Everyone had to will their bodies to stay together and not get torn apart by the shifting dimensions. The ONLY one who was able to do this was Hedrick, the Vennan priest who was performing the ceremony. He was on the edge of death, yet still doing his priestly duties and serving Venna with all his might. By now Gray, Khyros and Vorren arrived. They saw the remains of their fallen comrades. Gray managed to take most of Sashraddon's damage and ended up crippled by the time he reached the battlefield. Elonora couldn't take it - most everyone else had died. She called out to Telegrore, the god of re-birth to reincarnate MacCarr, Trilia and Luther. None of them had made it. Wolfgang, a priest of Telegrore was there and granted her this favor and was soon accompanied by Lecavian who helped with the upcoming events. The temerature began to warm up, the sky cleared and it was declared that Telegrore and Venna teamed up to make this place holy for both of them. All the ice quickly melted and through the cracks came rich, dark earth. Plants began to grow at an alarming rate and bodies were being taken back into the earth. A pyramid like mound grew up underneath the ceremony leaving the priest at the top of a grande hill where Venna's heart shall lay. Khyros managed to get Sky away from Brenin's corpse (or what was left of it) before he dissapeared. Gray survived, Brenin was dead and Venna was healed. MacCarr was re-born, but now he was a she, and not a giant anymore - MacCarr is now a Halfling! Luther was re-born as a human as he was before, but he too was now female. Trilia...well, Trilia was still a girl, but she was a...uh... (*ducking from the things Chelsey's going to throw at me because I rolled this up*)...she is now a...Wolverine. She still has Trilia's mind and memories and even her psychic abilities, but she's a wolverine. If she stays like that too long, over time she'll begin to think like a wolverine. Well....at least she's alive, right? Lecaviena knew that would not do, so be called upon Telegrore to see if she could be turned into something humanoid and useful - so now she's a pixie. The party scoured the land for their fallen comerades and to pilfer the bodies of their foes. Some were still there and others had been taken into the earth. Forgan could not be found, but in the last place he was seen grew a great majestic tree. Hmmmm....I wonder....could that be him?
Some of the things we found were inconsequential, but others were rather useful and or dangerous. For instance, we found Grolg's body but he still had all his magical armor and weapons with him. Snake bitch was found too. There was the member of the silver cross and he still had his silver cross around his neck! That was placed in another dimension for safe keeping. Kevin Vance was found and so were his items. By the time that the party had gathered up the bodies for a proper burial, the ceremony was complete. Wolfgang and Lecavian required a service or two from Elonora for what she asked for today, but since Haltessa already took 16 years away from her life, why the heck not? Telegrore seems to like Elonora and she's now spiritually "single" since she broke up with Verril. We can now get some sleep here in this holy place, gather up whoever is left (which should be about 10 of us) and teleport on back to wherever it is we need to be next. We do have the unfortunate duty to tell Roger his grandson died and should head to Malfestus to inform Forgan's estate of his passing (unless we want to try to reincarnate him as well). I'm not sure how we're going to be able to tell the King that we lost Esol, but we'll find a way. Hedrick will have a better reputation with the Vennan church and MacCarr will have a bit of explaining to do when he gets back to his people up north. Heh heh...

The following update is from the game on 11/2/02 written mostly by Jay himself:

All of the dead have been buried and all they were survived by have been notified. All the magic items have been scavenged.
Wolfgang introduced Enoch into the party. He is a Drak friend (well, more of an aquaintance) of his who is looking for an adventuring party to join. He has come to the right place...and at the right time.
Lillianna's whereabouts have been discovered. She ran off with Wolfe Murdoc who somehow got out of Sorrel!
Reoppe, the only living Tarresque, showed up to the jungle to finish his hunt of Miguel (an old PC that crossed him awhile ago) who had been abducted and brought there by Wolfgang.
Wolfe challenged Reoppe before he left and lasted 1 round inflicting 2 points of damage with 8 attacks from Skye. Reoppe spared his life on Lillianna's request and then left, shedding one tear for Miguel out of respect for Venna.
Reshem and Malcolm have been found too. Apparently Malcolm had been imprisoned in a ruby by the prince of the 4th plane of hell who was killed in the battle of Agapellack. Reshem found the ruby and used Malcolm to try and get his soul back from Calios...he failed and is now being chased by an Enforcer, a special kind of demon who's only purpose is to make sure creatures of hell don't get out. At the end of his rope, Reshem has asked Lecavian and the party to help him get his soul and life back. They agreed except for Gray. Gray will not be going on this mission. He will be dealing with the front lines of Kollackra and Dokoral instead.

The party went to Agapellack and discovered that Coucilor Feleous Bisturn is dead and the alliance of underworld races (drow, goblins, cyclops, etc) has been broken. Agapellack, now under Scott's rule is now re-building and re-populating two of it's original 6 cities, the others are still crawling with nasty things and many adventurers have shown up hoping to kill monsters, find treasure, and make reputations.
The party also met up with Jason who told them just how bad the Geliagh problem was...basically...it's REALLY BAD! Jason is going to leave his body on a spirit quest to try and find Geliagh and do something about it. However, 7 other spiritualists have tried this already and none of them have returned.

The church of Halltessa has been told of Forgan's death, they went to the church of Bae'Clorr and as a favor to Halltessa he was brought back to life. He won't be going on the mission though, instead he will be with Gray.
Malcolm was freed from his prison and spoke with Lecavian and the PCs before he left on various tasks. He allowed Lecavian to keep Dradurn under the condition that he kept it safe and eventually put it back together. Gray left the party to release about 200 Vorrexians from a stone prison with Druffen's help (Malcolm's familiar). Then Lecavian left to prepare for the mission and 10 minutes later an alarm sounded that the palace of Agapellack was under attack...that's where we ended.

... See you at the NEXT ADVENTURE of JAYSTORM!!!!!
