Lisboa's Game
Jaystormers in Space

Set in the far far future of one of John's old Rifts games...  This game features the adventures of the crew and passengers aboard the "Pegasus", a space transport.

Basically, the Crew attempts to move from star system to star system trying not to piss off too many people, while making as much of a steady profit as possible.  For the most part, the crew has been either greedy, reckless, or downright evil; as the Pegasus tends to leave a wake of disaster behind it.

Horribly Brief (and inaccurate) Synopsis of Plot:

The story begins when the original crew of the Pegasus wakes up, realizing that they have lost their memories. It becomes apparent that a large amount of time has passed.  Alanna (Andrea) was apparently some sort of soldier.  Vlad (Jeremy) is a big green freaky lizard thing with cybernetic surgery skills.  Other characters on the ship have other skills which are just as odd.  During their early travels they pick up first Lisha and then Sundar (Jomo).  Lisha is a knowledge seeking priest and Sundar is a smuggler with a dark past.    Owen  Dehavlen (Cisco), an enterprising young noble, helps the party fight off pirates and then buys into the ship.

Bombing around the universe, they become involved in episonage and finally in instigating a war.   Owen uses the war to catch his rising star and becomes a key player in the battles.  Sundar uses the war to play both sides, and gains forbidden knowledge.  During the war, Vlad is hacked apart by Vuldrok Children with Axes.  The war wages on but finally the side the Party was on wins. Owen, is rewarded land on the Planet the party defended and strangely Vlad comes back to life.
Owen's noble family, The Hawkwoods are drained of resources and are somewhat weakend by the war effort.

About this time, Owen becomes obsessed with weakening his families arch-rivals, The Kirk.  Through various machinations, Owen and Sundar engineer a war for the Kirk.  Just as this war is getting started, the crew of the Pegasus decides to go explore "lost worlds".  The prize for finding these lost worlds and reporting back to the empire is immense.

While exploring lost worlds, the crew of the Pegaus explore the planets of the Caliphate (an enemy to the empire).  While in a tight situation (suspected of being spies), the players push a huge bomb out of the ship and make a run for it.  The Bomb kills a large number of  people on the Caliphate homeworld.  Eventually, the party makes it back to the empire with the co-ordinates -- they sit back and wait for their reward.

While waiting, Owen discovers that all of his ancestral lands have been ceased.  Sundar discovers that most of his life savings have dissappeared.  And Alisha takes a sniper shot in the head.  The player characters are alarmed by their misfortune, but there is more to come. Owen discovers that members of another noble house are all being mysteriously killed.  This noble house is the house that's been fighting with the Caliphate for years.  Owen realizes that the Caliphate blame this family and have been killing them off... In a strange turn of events, Owen turns himself into the Caliphate as the one responsible and in doing so, ensures that the player characters will not get their reward for discovering the lost worlds.

Owen goes off into Caliphate space to be judged, breaking up his remaining estate and giving it to the other members of the crew.  As a result, many of them are now nobility.  Alas, the crew is very upset at losing just about everything.  And Alisha comes back to life.

(That's the synopsis of the first major story arc in the game -- lasting about 6-8 months of real-life time)
